Junction Lads

LA film producer wanted an offbeat character as his brand mascot.

A Los Angeles based producer reached out to me to create a unique brand identity. Through discovery sessions and open collaboration, we created an amusing, retro character paired with a custom wordmark.

The turquoise color palette was inspired by the tiles in my childhood bathroom — minimal, yet memorable. 

The selected moodboard set the tone for an unconventional vintage look.

As a production company, the needs were to create a visual expression of filmmaking. Early sketches featured a projection of the initials J.L. (Junction Lads) using the eye sockets of a cartoon character.
